Dawson Creek is Planning for People!
The City of Dawson Creek has undergone a review of its Official Community Plan (OCP), which is a legal document that guides land use and development in the community, including: housing, buildings, infrastructure, energy, transportation, environmental protection and open space, food system, health and safety, economic development, inter-jurisdictional planning, community design, and arts, culture and heritage.
A draft of the OCP was crafted to deliver on the community’s vision and goals for a sustainable Dawson Creek, which were developed as part of the larger “Planning for People” initiative.
STEP 1: STEP 2:STEP 3: Early public input, as well as a Public Open House held in June 2009, was incorporated into the new draft of the OCP. Stakeholder organizations and other partners currently reviewed and commented, Organized a second Public Open House during the week of October 24 - Nov 27 (boards were displayed at City wide locations - Arena, Curling Rink, Library).
